Experience with Indefinite Delivery Services Contract and Healthcare Projects
Mr. Floyd has extensive experience in a wide variety of healthcare design projects which require specialized and highly technical MEP design as well as experience in all other types of commercial building design. He has effectively designed projects over the last twenty years with different architects that approximate the indefinite delivery services model. His education and experience equip him to develop and coordinate engineering designs, produce quality construction documents, and oversee the construction process to its completion in a practical, as well as cost-effective manner.
Jerrie Godfrey, P.E. - Director of Operations
Prior to his work at MEP he worked as an electrical engineer at G.E. for 6 years and then for Goodman for over 14 years serving in various positions in this company which involved the manufacturing and component sourcing of HVAC equipment. He then established an independent sales organization representing global manufacturing companies within the HVAC industry for both OEM and wholesale accounts. In this role he performed onsite demonstrations for builders and local contractors directing them to wholesale sources for product offerings; evaluated and resolved technical issues with contractors and homeowners; and negotiated and assisted in designing /developing product offerings from global sources. His expertise in dealing with equipment manufacturers and equipment companies is an asset to our firm.
Mr. Godfrey is an accomplished, results-oriented, Texas State registered engineer with strong technical and communication skills. He is proficient in planning, organizing and executing project strategies that creates value. He has served in the role of Director of Engineering for MEP Associates Design Group, Inc. since 2008.

Mr. Godfrey has a modest amount of experience with healthcare design projects through those he has been involved with at our firm. He has also worked on several projects that are similar to the indefinite delivery services approach. His hands on experience with MEP field procedures along with his education and work experience uniquely equip him to design and develop MEP construction documents, and oversee the construction process.
Dr. Karen Floyd - President and Administrator
Roles and Responsibilities
She has been involved in all facets and phases of development of MEP Associates since its inception in 2001. She has maintained oversight and responsibility for coordinating all company decisions including financial, legal, insurance, employees, benefits, contracts, equipment, marketing, etc. Her primary direct involvement with the company’s engineering design is focused on the HUB projects. She is a firm believer in promoting engineering design and construction through historically underutilized businesses.

She has also performed administrative duties for several projects that are similar to the indefinite delivery services model. Her education and past experiences uniquely equip her to understand and coordinate the multitude of facets involved with this business endeavor.
Tom Bryant - VP of Design
Tom has been with MEPG since 2015. He was promoted to VP of Design in 2021 and oversees design development and contract administration while pursuing his Texas PE License. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, riding his motorcycle, and playing music.
Julio Espinoza - VP of Production
Julio has been with MEPG since 2015. He was promoted to VP of Production in 2021 and oversees contract document design and production as well as scheduling and timeline management. In his spare time he enjoys mountain biking, woodworking, and spending time with family.
